Originally settled by the Kenaitze tribe as an agricultural center, Kasilof is a beautiful place to visit. Located on the eastern shores of Cook Inlet, Kasilof offers travelers many activities. Excellent fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, and sightseeing are just a few of the fun things for visitors to do.

Kasilof is a small community, and it is more of a geographic location than a real town. Kasilof is not incorporated as a city, but it still has a close-knit community of residents. The economy is heavily dependent on commercial fishing, oil and gas processing, timber, and tourism related industries.
