   In the past 15 years we have built many log homes & commercial log structures in Alaska. With the short construction season and severe winters it has made building log homes a challenge. With each project we do there are three constants that never change. Quality, affordability, and easy assembly.

What we have done at Pre Fab Log Homes is to revolutionize log home building. Instead of arriving to your job as a truck load of individual logs- our logs come pre assembled in full height log wall panels. Each wall is built at our facility and shipped to your site. Our new facility, soon to open in Southern Ca. For easy placement on your existing foundation. To pass the shipping savings on to you.

Each wall panel is made from 8" Sitka Spruce, Douglas Fir or Hemlock, 2 tongue & Groove D shaped logs they are built to fit your plans w/ the door & window openings & electrical wiring installed.
Each wall panel has 5/8 all thread 32" o.c. that runs from the cement foundation to the top of the wall with an additional 5/8 all thread 12" on each side of all window & door openings.


We feel the quality of our product is 2nd to none. The reason why is the log walls are built in a controlled environment, the logs are not banged around & damaged during shipping. There is no fumbling through the plans looking for the right numbered log. There is no guessing where the electrical wiring goes, there is no fitting the logs together in the field fighting the elements of the weather. Because our walls are pre-assembled.

Which brings me to my second point the affordability. Our log construction costs about the same as the other guy's package in pieces. The difference is we take care of building and wiring all your log work so all you have to worry about is the standard rough carpentry. Interior walls, roof, stairways ect. No hassles in trying to find a contractor to put up your log's.


Which brings me to our last point. Easy assembly, with our log wall panels we can have your walls built & ready for shipping in typically 30 days, depending on order volume. Once you receive your log walls they will be wrapped to protect them. The assembly to your foundation is typically 3-4 hours, when the walls are set in place then it is ready for you or your contractor to put the roof on.
